Taco Talks Terrible Takes Continue - Joe Schmid is Christian, deal with it

¶1God has disproven Protestantism. If you're Protestant right now, please pause this and commit to praying a decade of the Rosary every single day. >> So, this guy was apparently an atheist who converted to Catholicism and upon doing so, there were a lot of Protestants who were celebrating this. >> So, Takaru Talks has some more terrible takes that we'll be responding to in this video as to why most Christians would celebrate someone coming to believe in the triune God and Jesus Christ as Lord even though that person disagrees with their denomination or doctrines. It's simply that belief in Jesus is necessary for salvation.

¶2Even those that are saved in extraordinary ways, including those practicing non-Christian religions, must believe in Jesus Christ before entering his kingdom. This can happen through internal illumination or other special means only known to God, but salvation is never apart from Christ. And before some of you object to this saying that people in non-Christian religions can't be saved, ask yourself, do you believe a child before the age of reason could be saved? >> Now, the problem was like they have this mindset of like, well, at least he's not atheist anymore. What would these people say?

¶3What would these Protestants say if this guy was an atheist who became a Muslim? Would they be still celebrating saying like, oh, well, at least he's not atheist anymore? >> Atheism is a complete rejection of God. Islam isn't. So, Muslims would be closer to the truth even though many may find that uncomfortable.

¶4Not all Muslims are Islamists. Not all atheists are militant atheists like Joseph Stalin who tried to eradicate Christianity from the Soviet Union that was operating under a form of state atheism. They burned down churches and did brutal things to nuns and priests and even made children protest against Christmas. Now, some radical Protestants who share similar traits to the Islamists and militant atheists may think that was a good thing, but most Christians don't. The Bible tells us that belief in God's existence is necessary.

¶5Reading from the book of Hebrews chapter 11 verse 6, and without faith, it is impossible to please God. Whoever would approach him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. >> Like, Catholicism is not Christianity. It's not they have a completely different gospel. And this guy, if you listen to him, he is talking about Mary consistently.

¶6He is not talking about Jesus. He's not talking about finding his own state of sin to be repulsive and thereby he needs a sacrifice to pay for it. God exists. Christ is Lord. And he established the Catholic Church.

¶7I'm not kidding. I just converted to Catholicism. >> Well, actually, Joe, you're just a revert, so that's technically misleading. >> Hey dude, conversion is a change of heart and mind. And that just happened.

¶8>> He thinks that he can be a good person. You can't be a good person, but he thinks he can because that's what Catholicism teaches. >> Daku seems to think people who are made in the image of God can't be good and are just full theory rags, but this contradicts the Bible. In the book of Genesis chapter 1, we read that all things made by God are good. That includes mankind.

¶9Reading verse 27 to verse 31, so God created humankind in his image. In the image of God he created them. Male and female he created them. God blessed them and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth, God said, "See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.

¶10And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food." And it was so. God saw everything that he had made, and indeed it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning, the sixth day. After the disobedience of Adam and Eve in Eden, our nature becomes wounded, but it's not an absolute corruption. This is why Christ, who comes to redeem mankind, restores us to our natural state by healing the wound.

¶11We are washed clean by him and participate in his works. That means those redeemed by God are good. They are no bad people in heaven. We also read about good and just men throughout the entire Bible. >> And furthermore, this guy didn't just go through and then suddenly find Catholicism as like this is the one.

¶12He didn't go searching through. He was raised a Catholic, became an atheist, and then he just reverted back to the same thing he was brought up >> Yeah, Taco completely ignores the justification given by Joe Schmidt for becoming Catholic because he can't deal with the things actually said. >> So like, oh, and of course like Mary's obtaining conversions to Catholicism. They give They give requests to her, and she's explicitly granting requests to convert people to Catholicism. So we have the mother of God appearing to Catholic shepherd children, granting requests to convert people to Catholicism, saying basically vindicating, authenticating, confirming the Immaculate Conception, the Rosary, the papacy, etc.

¶13>> Now, Taco would probably try to write this off as some kind of demonic power at work because he doesn't understand the limitations of demonic powers. He doesn't really understand what a soul is, either. >> You're a Christian, right? >> Yeah. >> Do pets go to heaven?

¶14>> I don't know. >> Well, why wouldn't pets go to heaven? >> I don't know. I mean, they're they're not people, so I don't know if they have souls. >> So, you don't think they go to heaven?

¶15You are horrible. >> What? No, I said I don't know. >> Well, how don't you know? >> Because the Bible doesn't talk about it at all.

¶16>> Well, all dogs go to heaven. What about that verse? >> That's not a verse. That's a cliché that originated in the last 200 years. >> So, what does the Bible say about it?

¶17>> Nothing. >> No, but like what does it say? >> It says nothing about that at all. There is one single verse in a bad translation that would imply that some animals do have souls, but that's a translational error that does not accurately represent what that word was. That word was life, not soul.

¶18>> To answer this, everything alive has a soul. Nothing alive is without a soul. Human beings have a rational soul, while plants have a vegetative soul, and have an irrational soul. The soul animates the body. The plants grow because they have a soul.

¶19The animals move because they have a soul. You didn't have to pay me for Bible study course to learn this. But whether they go to heaven, go ask Christian Wagner. I'm sure that brother will have something to say about it. But to get back to Taco Talks points here, most Protestants were raised Protestant.

¶20I live in a majority Protestant country and was raised Protestant. I became an atheist around 10 years old and later became Protestant again before embracing the fullness of the Christian faith when becoming Catholic. I wouldn't immediately dismiss someone else's religious journey as them just remaining in a religion because they were raised in it. Just like I wouldn't say Taco is ignorant because his parents were ignorant. They may be intelligent people.

¶21>> So, this isn't anything mystical, magical, wonderful. This is an atheist who is still lost and he is not found. It's not going from being lost and then saved like it would be if he became a Christian, but instead he was lost and now he is lost in Rome. >> Here he places himself in God's judgment seat when declaring who is and isn't saved. He claims that Joe is lost in Rome.

¶22While Taco Talks seems to be lost to his pride. >> That's not better. It is not better to go from an atheist to be a Muslim. It is not better to go from an atheist to be a Hindu. It is only good if you are turning from your sin and trusting alone in Jesus Christ to save you.

¶23This guy did not do that. >> This is the sin of judging someone presumptuously or rash judgment. And Joe clearly professes that Christ is Lord. As a Catholic, he professes the creeds that confirm our faith and trust in Jesus Christ our redeemer. Now, Taco Talks holding to one saved always saved, may not think sinning and condemning others so flagrantly will have consequences, but even in his paradigm it would be evidence of a false faith.

¶24Not a saving faith. In regard to going from atheist to Hindu, I believe it's better to believe in the divine than to reject it completely. Ultimately, I want everyone to be Catholic, but I would be happy if a non-Christian or atheist became Protestant or Orthodox. >> And whenever you have the Roman Catholic Church teaching a false that cannot save you, teaching a Jesus Christ who is insufficient and cannot save you, >> Catholics believe that Jesus Christ saves us. All graces we receive are tied to his passion on the cross.

¶25Devout Catholics participate in his life and in his works. >> This is not a good thing. This is not good news. This just means that it's going to be even more difficult to convert him, to get him to understand the truth of the Bible teaches because if you're Catholic, you typically don't read the Bible at all. >> So, I guess Joe won't be paying for Taco Talk's Bible study or donating to his website anytime soon.

¶26And it's a good thing given how frequently this man contradicts the Bible. In conclusion, this video was really tricky to do because people are cooking food and they're cheering for the sports teams in the background. But I do hope that you found it useful and do pray for this man and his followers so that they can find peace and their souls can be healed. Thank you all for watching.
