"Joe (Schmid) is getting away w/ shooting his mouth off on the Internet is because...."

¶1Hi there, Reneast Massachusetts, the ordinary ruined Catholic. And this is Katie's channel, Nerd Church, and she with two friends of hers are dissecting Joe Schmid and how he is approaching the Catholic faith is not really that Catholic. So, if you've seen any of my other videos, I am critical of these individuals who self-identify as apologists. They don't have any authority to actually teach. Just in the same way I don't have any authority to teach.

¶2I can only share my experience as a Catholic. Maybe redirect you to the Vatican website and then redirect you yet again to your local parish where there is a decent and likable pastor there who is responsible for teaching the faith. And that's where your authority lies within your local pastor. So, she's doing this live stream just yesterday with two individuals and she hits upon something at the 55 second mark, 55 minute mark, excuse me. I apologize for the audio.

¶3I don't have a studio. I'm just enjoying what I'm listening to. And I will say one of the reasons why shooting us because I call this poking Protestants for profit. What these converts and reverts do is they're essentially what I call exploiting the Catholic faith. Um, I do not see Joe Schmid as any individual of goodwill.

¶4I see individuals, whether you're Catholic or not, people of goodwill. But when you take the faith and you pervert it for profit, just like him and Cameron Bertusi does, um, um, I'm out. You know, I don't see you as an individual with goodwill. I see you somebody exploiting my Catholic faith for profit. and we're supposed to be econical and explain our Catholic faith.

¶5And yes, my pastor knows about my YouTube channel. So, let's go on here. One of the few areas that is social media. I feel like just [snorts] anybody can just hop on call themselves Catholic and just say all kinds of stuff. Um and there have been rumblings over the last several years that like they do.

¶6So just a few short years ago, just a few short years ago, nobody in their right mind would waste their time creating an online persona of being Catholic just for the sake of being Catholic, spouting whatever they think is authority, kind of taking the church in their own hands. But now with monetized platforms, the selling of knickknacks, third-party apps that are for for proof, they're not even nonprofit. You're seeing these other people calling themselves ministries. When where do you have permission to call yourself a ministry, once good nonprofits, once good nonprofits that had purpose and meaning within the Catholic Church, which I cite as Catholic Answers. Catholic answers had true meaning and purpose for the Catholic Church and had permission from a local bishop to proceed with this nonprofit when there were these Jack Chick tracks, these Protestant tracks that says, "How do we navigate these Protestants who are poking Catholics and what has happened is these self-identifying these self-identifying apologists who might be very verbal in their ways of rhetoric So, they might have a background in philosophy, so they know how to like just really sort of like jab you verbally um in regards to that and you should just ignore that.

¶7Um I actually have a background in law. I have a law degree. So, I mean like I've studied the bit of rhetoric and kind of using that tone and language, but you ever notice the tropes of the I call the hysterical tropes of Ethan Muse where I will have people in my comment section saying, "You're just bitter and angry." I'm like, okay. Like, who's telling you that? Where are you getting that perception of things?

¶8You're not getting that from your local pastor? You're not getting that from them. You know, I was just at the uh the school mass for the feast of St. Michael cuz my parish here is St. Michael's.

¶9And after the Eucharist procession, there was just donuts in the church hall for all the school children and whoever was there. And I can't post pictures because I want to respect the privacy of the school children. Um, but my mother-in-law volunteered there for a few years in the kindergartens. And there are now like third and fourth graders who saw my mother-in-law and just ran up to her like afterwards after their donuts, you know, crumbly glazy hands and they just wanted to like hug her, you know. And you know, I had a father-in-law, my mother-in-law's husband, Mario, who was a professor of humanities.

¶10He could probably do circles around these apologists with his understanding of the Catholic Church. But he was also the same guy who had volunteered to run the recreational soccer league. He was also the same guy when there was no money in the Paris parochial school that he volunteered his own time to teach the children Spanish. Even though he was a humanities professor, a department chair, he could speak five languages. Um, you know, just, you know, so when I see these guys like Joe Schmid, excuse me, I go on for six minutes.

¶11Joe Schmid going on asking for $250 a month so you could support his work. He's a scammer. He's a scammer. Joe Schmid and Ethan Music are just scam artists. And that's Carmen Buzzi guy.

¶12Katusi. These people are not a good faith. They're they're scamming you and you need to stay away from them and listen to your local pastor. faith is considering what the problem is that many people [laughter] >> sit down. >> So you know it's kind of a >> so this is just going to come back to my prospect research here so back in 2019 when I started my prospect research for the St.

¶13medical school. I worked so hard with it. Then co then something else and I kind of got benched. I got benched from my work unfortunately and then very unfortunate situation and my pastor and the principal the new principal was trying to give me restorative justice and it was very easy in those those two or three two years where I was benched from my work and a very I was very hurt by my fellow parishioners very hurt and they're trying to restore my work to do fundraising I don't want to bring up because it's so personal but at the same time. Um when finally they were restoring my work back to do my work um because I was mentored by highly qualified professionals.

¶14We have you know the universities and the prep schools here in New England who raise a lot of money through alumni research and they were mentoring and training me what to do and I wasn't being properly utilized. it was just being not utilized. [laughter] And so they finally was able to bring me back to do my work and have some control over my prospect research and my fundraising research. Um the individual who who attempted to bench me who did very much bench me by the way. I'm very hurt by my fellow parishioners by the way and it hurts and I have to pray and forgive them and like how do we navigate this and just say you know what God this is Imagine in your own parish kind of like being like wow that was interesting like but it really destroyed my career.

¶15What these parishioners did unknowingly was destroyed my career because all of my work was I was a stay-at-home mom and I was volunteering for the benefit of the schools. I I I can do this. I know this. I I don't get paid for my prospect research. I'm going on the 9-minute mark.

¶16And what happened was I would go on interviews. I go, I did all this research and like, well, how much money did they raise? Because they weren't listening to the people who were qualified to that mentored me and listened to me and what to do. They just took everything full of their own hands. And there was one particular individual who was very upset that I finally have my work again and I am making very strong connections with other schools and people who can assist and give us resources as a very small gateway school.

¶17Um, but anyway, so when I see when I see I'm about the 9 minute 39 segment about me, when I see the Joe Schmidz and the camera's I see I don't see them as Goodwill. I I see them as thieves. Thieves of the Catholic Church. I know that's really hard to say that people like you're supposed to be so charitable and forgiving. No, no, no, no, no, no.

¶18If you have a problem with me, Renee Ae St. Mike's l Massachusetts arch dasis of Boston and I love you all.
